Elizabeth Jones Joins EBSCO Information Services as Vice President, Medical Product Management and Chief Content Officer
EBSCO Information Services has hired Elizabeth Jones as Vice President of Medical Product Management and Chief Content Officer. She comes to EBSCO from the American Medical Association where she led the AMA Publishing Group, which includes JAMA.
It is vital for doctors to be informed about published studies so they can give patients care that is supported by the most recent evidence, but keeping up with up with all that information, and then incorporating it can be challenging. Jones will combine her editorial experience with the medical expertise that has created point-of-care tools like DynaMed and Nursing Reference Center to expand what is being done to help healthcare providers incorporate evidence-based medical information into the way they treat their patients as quickly as possible. Currently, the average time for research to be put into practice has been reported to be 17 years.
