Wayne County Public Library Joins NC Cardinal Live on Evergreen

Wayne County Public Library System has gone live on Evergreen as part of the NC Cardinal consortium. Equinox Software oversaw both data migration and staff training. ESI will also continue to provide on-going system administration and technical support for the entire consortium.

OCLC Research and ALISE name recipients of 2013 Library and Information Science Research Grants
OCLC Research and the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) have awarded research grants to Lynne Bowker of the University of Ottawa, Kyung-Sun Kim of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and Sei-Ching Joanna Sin of Nanyang Technological University and Sanghee Oh of Florida State University. The awards were presented January 24 at the ALISE 2013 Annual Conference Awards Reception in Seattle, Washington.

Millennia Atlantic University Chooses LibLime Koha
North Bethesda, MD, February 6, 2013- LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that Millennia Atlantic University (MAU), located in Doral, Florida, has gone live on LibLime Koha 4.14.
The University Library will take advantage of the Solr search engine in 4.14, full faceted support in the OPAC, an embedded New Titles list, and additional functionality for expired and cancelled holds. As with all versions of LibLime Koha since 4.8, the entire application resides in the Plack environment for enhanced performance.

TO ESTABLISH THE LILLIAN GOLDMAN REFERENCE SERVICES DIVISION
New York -- The Center for Jewish History in New York City, one of the world’s foremost centers for the intellectual and cultural exploration of the modern Jewish experience, has announced a $1.5 million grant from The Lillian Goldman Charitable Trust. In honor of this support, the Center will establish The Lillian Goldman Reference Services Division.
