EBSCO and Infogroup Sign Reseller Agreement—EBSCO to Provide Business and Consumer Data from ReferenceUSA to Libraries

EBSCO will be reselling ReferenceUSA, the leading provider of business and consumer content, to libraries and will soon provide metadata from ReferenceUSA to searchers using EBSCO Discovery Service. This will allow library researchers to have unsurpassed access to valuable business and consumer information.

Brill Licenses Arabic Translation of the Encyclopaedia of Islam to Tunisia

Leiden (NL) / Boston (MA) – 17 May 2013

Brill, the international scholarly publisher, has signed an agreement with the National Translation Centre of Tunisia in Tunis for the Arabic translation of the second edition of the renowned Encyclopaedia of Islam. The agreement was ratified by Tunisia’s Minister of Culture, Dr. Mehdi Mabrouk.

27 libraries in Australia and New Zealand make collections available online with OCLC’s CONTENTdm

Twenty-seven libraries throughout Australia and New Zealand are part of the more than 2,500 libraries, archives, museums and other cultural heritage institutions around the world using OCLC’s CONTENTdm Digital Collection Management Software to manage their digital collections and make them available on the Web. Of the 27 libraries, 25 are part of the CONTENTdm software “quick start” program, which makes each Te Puna member, Amlib, VDX or OCLC WorldShare Management Services user eligible for its own CONTENTdm license hosted in the OCLC Sydney Data Center at no additional cost.
