Grand Rapids to Host International Evergreen Conference

GRAND RAPIDS (November 1, 2009) Grand Rapids, Michigan has been selected as the site of the 2010 Evergreen International Conference. The conference will take place April 21-23, 2010 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. The conference is co-hosted by the Grand Rapids Public Library and Equinox Software.

SC LENDS Welcomes Four New Library Systems Live on Evergreen

SC LENDS, the South Carolina library resource sharing network, welcomes four new members to the consortium. Calhoun, Chesterfield, Dorchester, and York County Library Systems have gone live with Evergreen, the consortial, open-source library automation software.

Norcross, GA– The Integrated Technology Group (ITG), a division of Vernon Library Supplies Inc., added new personnel, new accounts and new products as it continued record growth into the third quarter of 2009.

AURORA, COLO. — BCR and the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), have agreed to develop a reciprocal continuing education program to complement and expand the training opportunities for the members of both organizations.

The partnership will combine those areas in which each organization is expert to meet the growing need for libraries to offer new and innovative online continuing education courses while meeting the challenges of the rapidly changing library environment and shrinking budgets.

October 20, 2009, Monterey, CA--Information Today Inc. Evergreen Indiana Continues to Grow with 4 additional Library Systems Live on Evergreen

Indiana has 42 library systems now live on Evergreen, a shared-catalog project of the Indiana State Library based on Evergreen, the consortial, open-source library automation software. The new additions are Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County, Jay County, Mitchell Community, and Roachdale Public Libraries.
