Rocky View School District Adds Five New Libraries to LibLime Koha
North Bethesda, MD, November 1, 2012- LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that five new school libraries in the Rocky View School District (Alberta, Canada) have officially gone live on LibLime Koha. Bearspaw School, Muriel Clayton Middle School, Elbow Valley Elementary School, Rainbow Creek Elementary School, and Springbank Middle School are the newest schools to go-live on LibLime Koha.
EBSCO offers seven scholarships to librarians for 2013 ALA Annual Conference
Birmingham, Ala. — Wednesday, October 31, 2012 The — American Library Association (ALA) and EBSCO are partnering to offer seven scholarships for librarians to attend the 2013 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago. The meeting — which will take place June 27 – July 2, 2013 — offers an opportunity for continuing education, meetings, and interaction with colleagues.
Each EBSCO scholarship will be in the amount of $1,000. The scholarship money is to be used for conference registration, travel, and expenses.
Developing Legal Aid-Library Collaborations: Models and Replication Resources

Pro Bono Net is producing these webinars in collaboration with the Legal Aid Society of Louisville, Central Minnesota Legal Services and Legal Services State Support (MN), with funding from the Legal Services Corporation's Technology Initiative Grants program. The series will help librarians better assist library patrons with legal needs by presenting a range of free online access to justice resources, and will showcase successful models for legal aid-library collaboration.

Oregon State University helps Oregon's tribal nations archive their history
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University Libraries is helping Oregon’s nine federally recognized tribes to preserve some of their most important historical records.
In August, OSU Libraries hosted the Oregon Tribal Archives Institute, a project created through a two-year grant from the Oregon State Library (http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/pages/index.aspx) that focused on providing in-depth archives and records management training for Oregon’s tribal nations.
