North Dakota State Library Partners With LearningExpress
LearningExpress, LLC, the leading provider of job and career advancement, test-preparation, and skill-building programs, announced today that the North Dakota State Library has entered into a strategic partnership with LearningExpress to implement the LearningExpress Library(TM) online learning platform on a statewide basis. This agreement marks the fourteenth statewide contract awarded to LearningExpress, LLC.

Pasco County Library System implements LS2 PAC from TLC
DENVER (May 20, 2009) – The Pasco County Library System, which is no stranger to distinction, has added another feather to its illustrious cap. The award-winning network of eight libraries in west central Florida has partnered with The Library Corporation to beta test TLC’s LS2 PAC module for its CARL•X™ Integrated Library System (ILS).

OCLC announces strategy to move library management services to Web scale
"Our strategy to move library management systems to Web scale builds on OCLC's 40-year history of innovation and cooperation," said Jay Jordan, OCLC President and CEO. "In 1967, OCLC Founder Fred Kilgour revealed a strategy to create an online union catalog through shared cataloging in order to reduce individual transaction costs for libraries. The result has been WorldCat, which has saved libraries millions of dollars in cataloging and interlibrary loan costs.
