The Editors of Urban Library Journal (ULJ) announce a Call for Proposals for the Winter 2008-2009 issue.

Many of the activities can also be used for children's programs in libraries.

"Understanding Autism" is one of the lead stories in the August 2008 issue. Based on a new W.W. Norton book, "How to Talk to Parents about Autism," by Roy Q. Sanders, it describes typical symptoms for five types of autism.
