Brill and Higher Education Press Announce New Journal Partnership

Beijing (CH) / Leiden (NL) – 1 September 2011

Today, at the Beijing International Book Fair a Journal Co-publication Agreement has been signed between Higher Education Press (Beijing) and Brill (Leiden). As of 2012 Brill will be responsible for the international print and online distribution of six scholarly journals in the Frontiers of China series, while Higher Education Press will be responsible for the Chinese market.

This fall, Brill (http://www.brill.nl/) will launch a complete new platform using the pub2web software from Publishing Technology http://www.publishingtechnology.com/. The Brill Online Books and Journals platform will host approximately 110,000 journal articles and 25,000 book chapters.

This state-of-the-art publications platform will benefit from the very latest Semantic Web technologies to enhance the user experience, enrich and add value to content assets, increase discoverability and cross reference and promote related content which may be of interest to readers.
