EBSCO Awards Seven Scholarships for Librarians to Attend ALA Annual
Librarians earn funding to help them grow professionally, better serve their users, and advance the field of librarianship
Birmingham, Ala. –- June 6, 2012 – In co-sponsorship with the American Library Association (ALA), EBSCO awarded seven librarians $1,000 scholarships to attend the ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim June 21-26, 2012. As part of the application process, librarians were asked to explain how attending the ALA Annual Conference will contribute to their professional development.

Member Votes Finalize Amigos/MLNC Merger
Dallas, TX — Amigos Library Services announces that its members have voted to approve the merger of Amigos and the St. Louis-based Missouri Library Network Corporation (MLNC). The results of the vote were announced during the organization’s annual Amigos Member Business Meeting held May 9. The Amigos member vote follows a similar vote taken by MLNC members last month and paves the way for actions that will culminate in the formal uniting of the two organizations July 1, 2012.
