Oregon State University helps Oregon's tribal nations archive their history

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University Libraries is helping Oregon’s nine federally recognized tribes to preserve some of their most important historical records.

In August, OSU Libraries hosted the Oregon Tribal Archives Institute, a project created through a two-year grant from the Oregon State Library (http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/pages/index.aspx) that focused on providing in-depth archives and records management training for Oregon’s tribal nations.

Selover Public Library has become the third library to go live on Evergreen joining Sunbury and Germantown as part of the Consortium of Ohio Libraries (COOL). 21,000 bibliographic items and 4,300 new patrons were migrated to the COOL combined catalog which can be viewed online at http://cool-cat.org/.
