Norcross, Ga. – August 2, 2010. Bernadette Hill has joined ITG as its Northwest Region Account Manager. Hill is based in Seattle and will be serving ITG customers in Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Western Canada.
Full RFID Implementation with ITG Underway Across 13 Locations
Norcross, Ga. – June 29, 2010. The Milwaukee Public Library (MPL) is currently retagging its entire collection and converting from RF to RFID one branch at a time in partnership with ITG (Integrated Technology Group). Like a major military invasion, MPL coordinated weeding, tagging, equipment transport, manpower, timeframes, budget, and strategy to make sure branches converted to RFID with minimal surprises. Thanks to detailed planning, the cohesive RFID rollout will be completed on schedule by year’s end.

ITG Implements 21-Bin Sorting System to Work in Conjunction with Library’s Custom Designed Integrated Library System
Norcross, Ga. – The Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County is installing a 21-bin automated materials handing (AMH) sorting system from the Integrated Technology Group (ITG), a division of Vernon Library Supplies, Inc. The automated materials handing system will work in conjunction with the library’s custom designed radio frequency identification (RFID) integrated library system (ILS), developed by the deputy executive director/technology, Jim Welch.
Integrated Technology Group Gained 19 New Clients, Acquired A New Patent and Hired An Account Manager in 4th Quarter
Norcross, Ga. – The Integrated Technology Group (ITG), a division of Vernon Library Supplies, Inc., gained 19 new clients, acquired a patent by the U.S. Patent Office and added a new account manager in the fourth quarter of 2008. In addition, the ITG Scan & Print System was used by Equinox Software, Inc. to assist Indiana libraries in the migration to Evergreen, an enterprise-class, open source, integrated library system (ILS). The ITG Scan & Print System can re-label bar codes on items at a rate of more than 250 books per hour.

Two California Libraries Convert to ITG Radio Frequency Identification Technology From Legacy RFID Systems
Ontario City Library and Long Beach Public Library are implementing Apex XpressCheck™ patron self-service kiosks, DirectReader™ staff station, PowerReader™ inventory wand and Apex RFID™ Security pedestals.
“By converting to ITG RFID technology, we had fewer false readings and fewer false alarms. We now have almost 100 percent accuracy in turning off the security tags,” said Gloria Freel, associate director of the Ontario Public Library.
