Brill announces a new forthcoming book series -- The Green Scholars Initiative: Papyrus Series, Edited by Dirk Obbink and Jerry Pattengale – that includes rare, unpublished papyri texts from the private Green Collection. Jeffrey Fish is serving as the editor of volume one.

Brill ends parallel run for new content platforms

Leiden / Boston – 11 July 2012

In December 2011, Brill launched two new platforms: referenceworks.brillonline.com and bibliographies.brillonline.com. In the meantime, Brill decided to end the parallel running period. This means that the old platform, brillonline.nl, is no longer in use, and Brill’s reference works and bibliographies are available only on the new platforms.

Brill acquires Foreign Law Guide

Brill is awarded the “Sheikh Zayed Book Award” for publishing excellence in Middle East and Islamic Studies

Abu Dhabi recognizes Brill’s extensive publishing program in Middle East and Islamic Studies with the “Sheikh Zayed Book Award” for publishing and distribution. The prize awards Brill with UAD 750,000, (appr. EUR 150,000) which will be used to both establish a fellowship and invest in innovative future publishing projects.

Brill will digitize Art Sales Catalogues from the Frick Art Reference Library in New York

Brill to Publish Two More Society Journals in Biology

Brill, the international scholarly publisher, is proud to announce that from January 2012 it will be the publisher of two additional society journals: the Journal of Crustacean Biology (JCB) and the Tijdschrift voor Entomologie (TvE). They will become available both in print and on Brill’s online platform.

With its strong list of Biology journals, Brill is well-positioned to publish these two journals. They will be published next to well-established titles such as Behaviour, Nematology, Crustaceana, Amphibia-Reptilia, and Insect Systematics & Evolution.
