In collaboration with Radboud University Nijmegen, Brill, the international scholarly publisher, launches its broad Open Access series Radboud Studies in Humanities (www.brill.com/rsh). The series is launched during the international Open Access week. A special focus of the series will be interdisciplinary approaches and studies that demonstrate the relevance of the humanities to society at large. All titles in the series will become available simultaneously in print and in Open Access.

Brill, the international scholarly publisher, announces a new suite of open access journals covering four major disciplines.

In the Brill Open program, Brill is now announcing the launch of four new full Open Access journals in the following disciplines: Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, and Biology. These journals will offer a pure open access environment. Each journal will be divided in sections that align with the major subject areas in the discipline.

IFLA and Brill are pleased to announce that Knowledge Unlatched (www.knowledgeunlatched.org), from the United Kingdom, has been selected as this year’s winner of the IFLA/Brill Open Access Award.

The IFLA/Brill Open Access Award was created in 2013 for initiatives in the area of open access monograph publishing. This year the jury unanimously has chosen Knowledge Unlatched (United Kingdom) as the most outstanding and game-changing initiative in the field.

Brill, the international scholarly publisher, donated over 800 frontlist titles to three universities in the Philippines. The donations are part of Brill’s Adopt A Library Program, where each year the company donates a collection of frontlist titles to one or more libraries in developing countries.
