IFLA and Brill are pleased to announce that Knowledge Unlatched (www.knowledgeunlatched.org), from the United Kingdom, has been selected as this year’s winner of the IFLA/Brill Open Access Award.

The IFLA/Brill Open Access Award was created in 2013 for initiatives in the area of open access monograph publishing. This year the jury unanimously has chosen Knowledge Unlatched (United Kingdom) as the most outstanding and game-changing initiative in the field.

The donations are part of Brill’s Adopt A Library Program, where each year the company donates a collection of frontlist titles to one or more libraries in developing countries.

Brill, the international scholarly publisher, has signed an agreement to publish a book series in cooperation with the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, and the Department of Anthropology, both of which are in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. The book series is entitled Harvard Egyptological Studies.
