EBSCO Information Services Releases a Free Version of ERIC To Provide Access During the Government Shutdown

The U.S. Government shutdown has affected the availability of the government database ERIC. EBSCO has temporarily made its version of ERIC available at http://www.ebsco.com/freeERIC. EBSCO President Tim Collins says, "We know our users who access ERIC on EBSCOhost find it to be a valuable resource and we understand that having access to a resource like ERIC shut off handicaps some researchers. Therefore, we have decided to provide this temporary access in order to assist these researchers.”

EBSCO Announces Winner of the 2013 EBSCO Charleston Conference Scholarship

Jamie Wilson of Millsaps College has been awarded the EBSCO Charleston Conference Scholarship. The funds are used for registration and expenses related to the Charleston Conference. Ms. Wilson's application included an essay that highlighted ways to maximize information resources to meet user needs while facing reductions in financial resources.
