Emerald announces winner of Best Practical Implications Award

The three winning papers were selected by Emerald representatives for their quality and their clear application of research among articles published last year:

Managing corporate social responsibility: lessons from the oil industry published in Corporate Communications: An International Journal, Vol 13 No 2, 2008, written by Terje I. Vaaland and Morten Heide of the Department of Business Administration, University of Stavanger, Stavanger, Norway.

Managing human resources for service excellence and cost effectiveness at Singapore Airlines published in Managing Service Quality, Vol 18 No 1, 2008 and written by Jochen Wirtz and Nitin Pangarkar both of the NUS Business School, National University of Singapore, Singapore; and Loizos Heracleous of the Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, Coventry.

Talent management strategy of employee engagement in Indian ITES employees: key to retention published in Employee Relations, Vol 29 No 6, 2008 and written by Jyotsna Bhatnagar of the Human Resource Management Area, Management Development Institute, Sukhrali, Gurgaon, India.
