Massachusetts Library Group Receives Grant from EBSCO Information Services
~ Financial Grant will Support New Evergreen Developments ~

Worcester, Mass. — October 25, 2016 — The web-based, open source Integrated Library System (ILS)
Evergreen will be continuing to develop software that meets the needs of libraries thanks in part to a grant from EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO). The grant to the Massachusetts Library Network Cooperative (MassLNC) is intended to finance new developments of popular catalog features for thousands of libraries using Evergreen.

The BHM Regional Library System has gone live on Evergreen as part of the NC Cardinal consortium. Equinox Software oversaw data migration and staff training and will continue to provide hosting and technical support for the entire NC Cardinal consortium.

The BHM Regional Library System consists of eight libraries in Beaufort, Hyde, and Martin counties. Over 87,000 bibliographic records and 14,000 patrons were migrated to the new system.

Marvin Memorial Library has gone live on Evergreen as part of the Consortium of Ohio Libraries (COOL). They are the 11th library system to join the consortium. FulfILLment is an open source ILL product that allows direct patron request of materials and greatly reduces staff mediation of requests.
