IPSWICH, Mass. — January 30, 2018 —EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has awarded five librarians, including two first-time attendees, $1,500 scholarships to attend the 2018 ALA Midwinter Meeting, February 9th-13th in Denver, Colorado. The scholarships are co-sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA). The scholarship recipients will be honored by EBSCO and ALA representatives at a breakfast during the conference.

Backstage begins processing 2.5 million books and 14,000 DVDs on-site at Alderman Library, University of Virginia

PROVO, Utah, December 19, 2017 – Backstage Library Works (www.bslw.com) is pleased to announce that it has moved into full production with extensive on-site inventory, cleaning, and cataloging projects for Alderman Library at the University of Virginia. Equinox adds Cherokee County Public Library to the SC LENDS Consortium

DULUTH, Ga., Nov 30, 2017 -- Equinox is pleased to announce that Cherokee County Public Library successfully migrated to Evergreen within the SC Lends Consortium.

This migration includes more than 32,000 users and over 95,000 bibliographic records. For the migration, Equinox performed the bibliographic data extraction and deduplication, policy configuration, project management and training services. As part of the SC LENDS consortium, Cherokee County Public Library is hosted and supported by Equinox on their industry leading Sequoia platform.

Submissions Now Open for the 2018 SEE-IT™ Award from EBSCO Information Services

Submissions are now being accepted for the second annual SEE-IT™ Award. SEE-IT stands for Stories Engagingly Expressed-Illustratively Told. The SEE-IT Award is an annual book award given in partnership by EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and the Graphic Novel Committee of the Children’s Book Council (CBC) to honor the outstanding achievements of authors and illustrators in youth graphic novels. Publishers are encouraged to submit titles for award consideration by March 9, 2018.
