Aspen Discovery Announces 21.01.00 Release

Aspen Discovery announced this week that the 21.01.00 release, the first release of 2021, is now available. This release includes over 60 enhancements to 16 different functions in the Aspen Discovery system.

Mark Noble, Aspen Discovery Developer, recently commented on the release: "This release includes over 60 different suggestions from our library partners and fine-tunes Aspen Discovery so that it works even more smoothly for their patrons. EBSCO Information Services Announces Submissions Open for the 2021 EBSCO Solar Grant
~ $200,000 in Grants Available for Libraries Worldwide ~

IPSWICH, Mass. — January 20, 2021 — Submissions are now open for the 2021 EBSCO Solar grant program from EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO). For the fifth year, EBSCO is accepting applications for grants that will fund solar installations at libraries around the world. As part of the 2021 EBSCO Solar initiative, EBSCO will be making a total of $200,000 in grants available.

Introducing: Open Source Live! A quarterly conversation about libraries and open source.

Join us for the first session, Thursday, January 21st at 11am EST, as we hear from public, academic, and special libraries. Library staff will discuss challenges in 2020, pivots they’ve had to make, how they’ve utilized open source products, and discuss what’s on the horizon for 2021.
